The Affordable Connectivity Program (successor to the Emergency Broadband Benefit plan)

Assurance Wireless is part of the Affordable Connectivity Program, and was created to provide a discount on broadband service to help eligible households stay connected to jobs, critical healthcare services, and virtual classrooms.

What do I get with ACP?

Not every ACP offer is the same. With Assurance Wireless, eligible new households received a FREE smartphone, plus all the following benefits every month:

  • FREE Unlimited Data including 25GB High-Speed Data
  • FREE Unlimited Texts
  • FREE Unlimited Minutes
  • FREE 2.5GB Mobile Hotspot Data

During congestion, heavy data users (>35GB/mo.) and customers choosing Assurance Wireless or similarly prioritized plans (e.g., T-Mobile Essentials, Metro by T-Mobile) may notice lower speeds than other customers due to data prioritization.

How do I qualify for ACP?

You can enroll in our Assurance Wireless plan if you participate in one or more government assistance programs, such as SNAP or Medicaid. You may also qualify based on your household income. Assurance Wireless is a provider of California Lifeline, a government assistance program. Offer available for eligible CA customers only & is non-transferable. Discounts provided by the California & federal Lifeline programs are limited to one per household (landline or wireless). A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address & share income & expenses. Consumers who willfully make false statements in order to obtain the benefit can be punished by fine or imprisonment or can be barred from the program. Unlike a traditional wireline phone, a wireless handset may be removed from the home. By removing a wireless cell phone from a residence that does not have other phone services, residents may not have a way to make 911 calls during an emergency. Also, wireless service may experience interruptions due to weather conditions, terrain or gaps in service coverage. Phone models may vary; shipping charges may apply. Plan: Unused data does not roll over. Add'l. Services: Data & Int'l. plans require add-on purchases. Accessing voicemail draws from plan or add’l. mins.
