Enrollment in this government benefit program is available to California residents who qualify based on federal or state specific criteria. You may qualify for Assurance Wireless if you, or a member of your household, participate in the following government programs:
If using a government-issued benefit card, such as CalFresh/SNAP, Medi-Cal, etc., you must provide images of the front and back of the card. And if using a CalFresh Card, you must also provide an image of a purchase or ATM balance inquiry receipt dated within the last 7 days.

Good news. If you already receive California LifeLine discounts, you can still switch to Assurance Wireless, and keep your current phone number. Your California LifeLine and federal voice Lifeline discounts (as applicable) will be switched from your current provider to Assurance Wireless. California LifeLine Program Limitation as of June 1, 2017: The California LifeLine Program has a limitation for consumers who want California LifeLine discounts. After submitting an enrollment request (application) for California LifeLine wireless telephone service, they must wait up to 30 days before submitting another application. They cannot submit more than one application for California LifeLine wireless telephone services at the same time. To learn more about this California LifeLine Program limitation, click here.
Lifeline Program: Assurance Wireless is a California LifeLine provider. Lifeline is a government benefit program. Assurance Wireless provides Lifeline service supported by the federal Universal Service Fund and the California LifeLine Program.
Qualifications: Enrollment in this government benefit program is available to consumers who qualify based on federal or state-specific eligibility criteria. You may qualify if you are on certain public assistance programs, like Medi-Cal or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). You can also qualify based on your household income.
Proof of Eligibility: You must provide proof of program participation or proof of income.
One Lifeline Discount per Household: Discounts provided by the California and federal Lifeline programs are limited to one per household. Separate households that live at the same address are eligible, including residents of homeless shelters and nursing homes. Residents with temporary addresses are also eligible. A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a government program that reduces the customer’s broadband internet access service bill. One discount per eligible household and is non-transferable across households. An eligible household may obtain ACP-supported broadband service from any participating provider of its choosing and may apply ACP benefit to any broadband service offering of the participating provider at the same terms available to households that are not eligible for ACP-supported service. ACP service provider may disconnect the household’s ACP-supported service after 90 consecutive days of non-payment; the household will be subject to the provider’s undiscounted rates and general terms and conditions if the program ends, if the consumer transfers their benefit to another provider but continues to receive service from the current provider, or upon de-enrollment from ACP. A household may file a complaint against its provider via the FCC’s Consumer Complaint Center, https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov; visit AffordableConnectivity.gov for more information on ACP.
